John Brumley
Laboratory Equipment Technician, was educated at Louisiana Tech University (BS, 1977; MS, 1988).

Before joining the PoroMechanics Institute (PMI), he was employed by Halliburton Company in Duncan, Oklahoma.

Previous positions held include research associate in the enhanced recovery laboratory at Louisiana State University and production engineer with Amoco Production Company.

Carla L. Cates
Manager of Administration & Operations, has been working with the rock mechanics group since January 1989.

She holds a B.A degree in Sociology from the University of Oklahoma, Norman (1977).
